Stacy Butschek joined Loch Haven OB/GYN in 2013, bringing with her specialized nursing and midwifery skill that she’s been honing since 2003. She received her MSN for certified nurse-midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, KY.  Prior, she pursued her advanced degree in nursing from Florida Hospital College of Health Science in Orlando. For over a decade, Stacy has been a labor and delivery nurse, and now provides safe, evidence-based care to women and their families from puberty to menopause as a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM).

Her advanced training and multitude of certifications, combined with a level of compassion that seems to come naturally, make both patients and physicians feel comfortable and confident in her care. Her active community service at a local church and professional memberships in Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses and American College of Nurse-Midwives, prove her dedication to patient care, and the life-giving field of labor and delivery nursing

About Nurse Midwifery

Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) are registered nurses who have completed additional education at the master’s level and certification in women’s health. Nurse midwives treat and care for a variety of women’s health needs through all stages of life, including prenatal, birth, postpartum, gynecologic and family planning.

Nurse midwives provide patients with greater access and choices, with a special focus on prevention, wellness, holistic care and minimal intervention. They diagnose and treat a wide range of health problems and also focus on health education and counseling.

Nurse midwives consult our physicians when complications arise to provide specialized care as needed.
