Prenatal Care

Quality prenatal care is important to the health of you and your baby. By seeing your physician regularly throughout your pregnancy, you allow doctors the chance to spot health problems earlier and possibly even prevent other health problems. At Loch Haven OB/GYN, we take care of scheduling you for all of your prenatal visits so you can be sure you are getting the important healthcare you and your baby need.

If you have any questions throughout your pregnancy, be sure to write them down and bring them with you to your next appointment. Do not be afraid to talk to your doctor about subjects that may be uncomfortable or embarrassing. The more the doctor knows about you, and the more you know about your pregnancy, the better chance you have of delivering a health baby.

Typical Prenatal Care Schedule

If you are over the age of 35 or have a high-risk pregnancy because of health problems, you may need to see your physician more often than recommended on the below prenatal care schedule. Your OB Patient Coordinator or physician will discuss an adjusted schedule with you.
