Frequently Asked Questions

Please click on a question below to display the answer.
  • Do you draw blood at your office?
If blood work is recommended, you will be given a prescription to get it done at an outside center. The results will come back to our office for your physician to review.
  • How do I get my prescription refilled?
Please have your pharmacy fax a refill request to our office. Allow 24 to 48 hours for a response.
  • How often should I have a Pap Smear?
Generally, your pap smear should be performed annually during your comprehensive examination. However, if you have had a history of abnormal pap smears, or your physician has instructed you differently, you may need to have a pap smear more or less frequently.
  • How will I be notified of test results?
Patients are typically notified of test results by mail or a phone call. If three weeks have gone by and you have not heard from our office, please call to find out your results.
  • If I am sick, do I need an appointment or can I walk in?
Patients are seen by appointment only. Urgent appointments will be scheduled based on the type and severity of the problem. If you have a true medical emergency, call 911.
  • If I see a nurse, will a physician be notified of my reason for being there?
All patient visits are documented. If there are any concerns at the time of your visit, your physician will be notified prior to you leaving the office.
  • What health insurance plans do you accept?
We accept most health insurance plans. Please call our office to inquire about a specific plan.
  • When I leave a message on the nurse voicemail, when will I get a return call?
You should receive a return call the same day. Make sure you provide a number where you can be reached day or evening.
  • Where are you located?
Please see our Contact Us page.
  • Where do I go if I need emergency care outside of normal business hours?
One of our physicians is always on duty at Florida Hospital Orlando for emergency care and treatment.
  • Will my physician treat me for conditions not relating to OB/GYN?
Patients should go to a Primary Care Physician (PCP) for care that is not in our specialty, such as ear aches, sore throats, broken bones, etc.
