At
38 years old, everything was going smoothly with my
pregnancy until I came in for my 39-week checkup,
when I mentioned that I didn’t feel my baby
moving quite as much. After a couple tests, my doctor
sent me to the hospital where Dr. Hill, the Loch Haven
OB/GYN on-call physician, did an ultrasound. (I thought
that going to the hospital was going to be a waste
of my time since everything was going smoothly.) He
discovered that my baby was only 12 hours from dying
and had to do an immediate c-section.
Within
20 minutes, he and his team delivered my healthy baby
girl, Molly. Dr. Hill’s calm demeanor, confident
expertise, and reassurance that he would take good
care of me put my mind at ease and made the situation
as peaceful as it could have been. (The nurse worked
overtime to stay with me since everything happened
so quickly and my family couldn’t be there.)
Having seen most of the Loch Haven physicians for
prenatal checkups, I would trust my life and my baby’s
life with any of them. They were there for me at the
hospital and by phone 24/7 (for any questions or concerns
I had) throughout my pregnancy.
