The
Loch Haven OB/GYN Group was established in 1989
and is owned and operated by Florida
Hospital. For peace of mind, one of
the group’s eight physicians is always on
site at the nationally recognized Florida Hospital
Orlando 24 hours a day, seven days a week for any
unforeseen emergencies in the Labor
& Delivery Unit. The hospital,
located at 601 East Rollins Street near downtown
Orlando, is conveniently located just a few blocks
from the office. Our physicians only deliver at
Florida Hospital Orlando – which was named
one of the “Top 10 Best Places in the Country
to have a Baby” by Fit Pregnancy Magazine.
Because the office is owned and operated by Florida
Hospital, the Group benefits tremendously through
its access to all the latest technology and experts
that the hospital has to offer.
Obstetric
Services
The
Loch Haven OB/GYN Group provides personable, state-of-the-art
obstetric care, including routine pregnancy, high
risk conditions, cesarean delivery, tubal ligations,
and turning breech babies. The physicians maintain
a reputation for providing compassionate care, priding
themselves on listening, educating, offering choices
and alternatives, answering questions fully, and
speaking in terms we can all relate with and understand.
At the request of our patients, the office now sells
items available for purchase in the waiting room,
including anti-nausea (candy-like) drops, pregnancy
journals, memory boxes, first aid kits for babies,
and books on women’s health topics, pregnancy,
and childcare.
The physicians also present a free monthly seminar,
“What
to Expect During Pregnancy,” to educate
their patients and the public, dispel pregnancy
myths, and provide an opportunity to meet and greet
all the doctors in the group.
And
when it’s time to deliver, the Florida Hospital
Orlando Labor
& Delivery Unit has amenities such
as massage, a lactation consultant, concierge service,
zero birthday celebrations, a new photography studio,
and afternoon tea to make the experience even more
special.
The
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at
Florida Hospital Orlando is a Level-3 intensive
care nursery delivering the highest level of care
possible, and adjoins the L&D Unit. Its specialized
medical team includes neonatologists, nurses and
neonatal nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists,
social workers, audiologists, occupational and physical
therapists, developmental specialists, and other
sub-specialists. The unit contains extensive medical
equipment with the latest technology to monitor
the baby’s condition. A total of 61 beds,
there are 28 level II special care nursery beds,
and 33 level III beds with 20 private rooms. This
20-room unit is referred to as the Single Care Neonatal
Unit and is the only one that exists in the Southeast.
Two of the rooms are for twins or triplets so they
can stay together. In the Labor & Delivery Unit,
there is also a 10-bed High Risk Unit that monitors
moms and babies with pregnancy complications or
special needs.
Gynecological
Services
The
Loch Haven physicians are experts in performing
minimally invasive gynecological surgery, such as
laparoscopy for endometriosis; medical and surgical
treatment for urine loss; ovarian cysts; uterine
fibroids; and numerous other procedures and surgeries.
About
the Physicians
The physicians are recipients of numerous awards
for patient care, teaching, and medical research.
Several of our physicians are included in various
"best doctor" lists, including "Best
Doctors in America" and "Central Florida's
Top Doctors." Many have published articles
or serve as expert reviewers for prestigious medical
journals, and have given lectures at medical conferences
around the country.
Our
physicians serve on the clinical faculty of the
Florida Hospital Family Practice Residency Program
and the OB/GYN residency at Orlando Regional Healthcare
System. In addition, many of our physicians serve
as faculty for the Florida State University College
of Medicine. All of our physicians are Board Certified
or Board Eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics
and Gynecology.

To
Our Patients
Our first responsibility as a Christian hospital
is to extend the healing ministry of Christ to all
patients who come to us. We endeavor to deliver
high-quality service, showing concern for patients'
emotional and spiritual needs, as well as their
physical condition. It is our desire to serve patients
promptly, with consideration and dignity.
To
Our Employees
We are responsible to our employees and depend upon
their teamwork. We show concern for the whole person,
respecting each worker's individuality and listening
to each one's concerns and suggestions. We pay fair
wages and offer clean and safe working conditions.
We provide opportunities for our employees' professional
growth and development.
To
Our Medical Staff
We are responsible to the doctors who are the leaders
of the medical team. We provide them with a professional
environment, state-of-the-art medical facilities
and equipment, and trained support staff. We strive
to process their requests for patient care accurately
and in a timely manner.
To
Our Community
We are responsible to our community both as an organization
and as individuals. We must be a strong corporate
citizen with interests in the total community welfare,
not just those aspects in which we have a business
interest. We maintain and use our buildings and
grounds to enhance the interest of the community.
To
Our Future
We are responsible for the future success and security
of our institution's resources. We protect our financial
investments through responsible fiscal management,
strategic planning and effective marketing. We cultivate
and protect the preferred patronage of patients,
doctors and businesses.
To
Our Religious Heritage
In response to the Seventh-day Adventist faith and
heritage upon which Florida Hospital is built, we
celebrate the healing ministry of our Lord, encourage
preventive health care practices, respect the seventh-day
Sabbath, and observe high moral and ethical standards.
To
Our God
We are responsible to communicate through caring
service that God is a loving, gracious and protecting
Father who places infinite value on every individual
and is worthy of our admiration, affection and willing
commitment.
